This home mouse trap works has an easy-view catch indicator, letting you know the rodent has been caught without looking inside. This indoor rodent trap is great for tight spaces and sets with just one touch. To use, open the bait door on the back of trap and add Tomcat Attractant Gel or other food such as peanut butter or cheese in the bait well as mouse bait. Close the bait door and set trap by pressing the side arm. Place two Tomcat Kill & Contain Mouse Traps 5 to 10 feet apart in the kitchen near refrigerators, stoves, and pantries, in the laundry room between washers and dryers, along baseboards indoors, and other indoor areas where mouse activity has been noticed or suspected. Check traps frequently. When the indicator points to "Mouse Caught", the mouse has been captured; use the grab tab to dispose of entire trap. Contains 2 disposable mouse traps.
1. Identify
Determine the type of rodent problem and the location of activity. See detection tips below.
2. Bait
Open bait door located on back of trap. Bait trap by placing food (such as peanut butter) or Tomcat Mouse Attractant in the bait well. Close bait door.
3. Set
Set trap by pressing the set arm located on side of trap. The easy view indicator will point to 'set' and you will hear a ‘click’ when trap is set.
4. Place
Place trap where you see or suspect mice activity. Target areas with high mice activity such as near refrigerators, stoves, pantries, between washers and dryers or along baseboards. For best results, place 2 traps 5-10 feet apart.

Signs of rodent problems:
Are your dogs upset? Do you see small tracks and tail trails in dusty areas? Do you see areas where wood has been gnawed? Do you see smears along baseboards and other areas? Is there a heavy musky odor in the house? Can you see rodent droppings?
Identify mouse droppings:
Mice droppings are smooth, 1/8-1/4 inch long, and pointed at both ends.
Identify norway ray droppings:
Norway rat droppings are blunt on both ends.
Identify roof rat:
Roof rat droppings are shiny, black, 1/2 - 3/4 inch long, and pointed on both ends.
